This beautiful Love Spoon was carved by my dad, George Wood. He and my mom visited Wales many years ago and dad fell in love with this part of our family heritage. He had carved in wood before, but this art form really resonated with him and in his late 60s he began creating them despite terrible tremors that he had in his hands. A friend asked how in the world he was able to do this and he just replied, when he starts carving the shaking stops! He gave many of these away, to friends, ministers, doctors, those who helped them in special ways. I am thank you that he kept a box full of them...enough that when he and mom died there was one for each of their beloved grandchildren. They truly are works of love.
