Dads Blenko Pitcher
My dad was a glass man. He worked for Federal Glass in Columbus, Ohio from 1954 until the factory closed in 1979. He was an artist and he loved glass. He traveled to Europe and parts of the US to see beautiful handmade glass and then returned to his company and worked on how to translate that form into mass produced glassware that everyone could afford. One time he was given the opportunity when visiting Blenko Glass, to design a pitcher and the artisans there made his pitcher by hand. This was a treasure to him and now to me.
